“UW Night Market” the largest student-run event in the Pacific Northwest
The University of Washington hosted its annual “UW Night Market,” a multicultural event organized by students that celebrates diversity through food, performances, and activities. The event, which took place in Red Square on campus, attracted over 10,000 attendees on Saturday night.

The “UW Night Market” featured over 100 vendors selling a variety of international cuisines, from Korean street food to Mexican tacos. Attendees were also treated to performances from cultural clubs on campus, including traditional dance and music from various countries.

“We are thrilled to see the community come together to celebrate our diverse backgrounds and cultures,” said event organizer, Sophia Lee. “It’s amazing to see students from different backgrounds come together to showcase their talents and share their traditions with one another.”

The event also included a boba tea garden, a DIY lantern-making station, and a dance floor where attendees could show off their moves. Many students and community members praised the event for its inclusivity and the opportunity to learn about different cultures.

“I love coming to the ‘UW Night Market’ every year,” said attendee, Jessica Kim. “It’s a great way to experience new foods and learn about different cultures. I always leave feeling more connected to the global community.”

The “UW Night Market” has become the largest student-run event in the Pacific Northwest, drawing students and community members from across the region. Organizers are already looking forward to next year’s event and hope to continue to promote cultural understanding and appreciation on campus.
