멀트노마 카운티 커뮤니티 보건 지도자, 1년도 안 되어 사임

영주 County Community Health’s first director in nearly 20 years has stepped down less than a year into the job, citing personal reasons.

“I’ve decided to resign from my role as director of community health for personal reasons,” Lee told the board. “Thank you for the opportunity to serve, but I have decided it’s best for me to step back at this time.”

Her departure is a loss for the community health division, which has gone without a permanent director for nearly two decades before Lee emerged as a promising candidate.

Lee’s brief tenure was marked by determination to make meaningful changes to the county health department and strengthen partnerships with community groups. She emphasized the importance of addressing health disparities and promoting equity in healthcare services.

Despite Lee’s departure, Multnomah County officials have expressed confidence in the division’s ability to continue its work without interruption.

The county is currently in the process of searching for a new director for its community health division. In the meantime, deputy director Kim will serve as interim director.
