Penfold Theatre Launches New Reading Series

Penfold Theatre Company has announced the launch of a new reading series to bring the magic of theater into the homes of its patrons during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company will kick off its reading series with a live reading of the play “Dear Elizabeth” by Sarah Ruhl on March 26. The reading will feature actors Lara Toner Haddock and Robert Faires.

“Our goal is to provide our audience with unique and engaging theatrical experiences while we navigate these challenging times,” said Penfold Theatre in a statement. “We are excited to share the power of storytelling through this new reading series.”

The reading of “Dear Elizabeth” will be followed by additional readings throughout the coming weeks, with a diverse selection of plays and actors.

Viewers can tune in to the live readings on Penfold Theatre’s Facebook page. The company encourages donations to support the artists and the continuation of their work during this period of uncertainty.
